Crocheted Trimmed Socks

Little girl's socks trimmed in crochet are so precious.
They are a sinch to make. You can use any stitch you'd like.
Below are a couple of recommendations.
You can use threads or fun fur type yarns.
They are done with a steel hook, any small one will do, approximately size 7.
Using a small hook makes it easy to insert it in the sock.

Instructions

Rnd 1: Sc, ch 5, sc around the sock leaving a small space between each sc. Join to first sc.
Rnd 2: Sl st in first 3 ch, sc in ch 5 loop; ch 5 sc in each ch 5 loop around.
Finish off with a sl st in first sc.
Make as many rounds as you like.

Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc around, join with sl st to top of ch 3.
Rnd 2: In top of ch 3 work: ch 3, dc, ch 3 2 dc (shell made). *Skip next 2 dc, make shell (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3.
With Fun Fur, sc, ch 5 sc around. TOO EASY!
Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc around, join with sl st to top of ch 3.

I got a crochet hook and tried this tonight! They're adorable and easy too. I couldn't get online when I wanted to work on the socks, so I made up my own pattern. I never knew what size hook to use. Thanks for sharing your talents!

Thank you for the encouragement! I am VERY new to crochet, but I think this will be the next project I try to tackle. I linked to you from my blog (to this post as well as to your blog). I hope that is OK. If not, please let me know.

So sweet! Maybe even I can do it! LOL! I do love to crochet. I've only made afghans, though. I'd like to try this for some socks for my granddaughter.
